Item Details
Description
Jaled Muyaes (Chilean/Mexican, 1921 - 2007). "Non-objective Composition #50". Oil pencil on paper. 1948. Signed lower right. Muyaes always signed his work "Kena," "S. Kena," "Silvestre Kena," or "Silvestre;" or, if initialed, "K." or "S.K.". Cream wove paper. 24 1/4 x 18 3/4 in. (616 x 476 mm). Sheet Size: 25 x 19 in. (635 x 483 mm). Provenance: From the estate of Estela Ogazon Sanchez. Works by Muyaes, a noted Mexican painter and sculptor, rarely appear on the market. His parents were David Suleiman Mujaes (Lebanese), and Emma Morales Gajardo (Chilean). [24439]
