SADIE SOLETSKY ROSENBLUM (AMERICAN B1899), "Two Children,"oil on canvas laid down on masonite, 31 x 9 inches, signed lower right. Sadie Skoletsky Rosenblum was born in 1899 in Odessa, Ukraine before emigrating to America. She would eventually move to Miami Beach in Florida, but before that she studied painting and print making in New York City at the Art Students League and New School for Social Research with teachers who included Raphael Soyer, Yasuo Kuniyoshi; Ben-Zion and Samuel Adler. Rosenblum exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York; the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, D.C.; the Museum of Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; the Lowe Art Museum at the University of Miami in Coral Gables; and Columbia Museum in South Carolina. Her work is at the Philadelphia Museum of Art; Ohio University in Athens; El Paso Museum of Art in Texas; Brandeis University Museum in Waltham, Massachusetts; and the Lowe Art Museum.
