Description
Second quarter of the 19th century. Probably English and possibly by Dixon. See The Powder Flask Book, Riling, p.395 for an identical example preserved at the Dixon Factory until the 1950’s. 8 ¾” length of oval shaped cow horn with brass bottom and mounts including graduated spout with iron spring cut off. As with our A5930, it is in truly untouched condition. Complete with both suspension rings and the screws and spring with surface rust. The body with three scrapes from its time of use, blending in color with age.
