Vintage Silver Mexican Sun Brooch/Pendant, Inlaid Abalone, 2.5", 1950's-1970's. Vintage Silver Mexican Sun Brooch/Pendant, Inlaid Abalone, 2.5", 1950's. It is marked Sterling, Mexico and 925. It is slightly domed with the Aztec type sun design with inlaid abalone and appx. 2.5" across. Testing is not coming up as sterling - could be alpaca or a lower silver amount or plated. Tests as sterling very a brief period and leaves a faint mark. Weight is appx. 14.14 gr. It does not have magnetic reaction. Very good vintage condition.It was worn but there is no missing ablaone, chips, etc. It has both a spring ring for pendant and a locking older style pinback on the back. Not signed by the actual maker - just the marks mentioned. (W12322.1X3 SS9352 J LD 1/21/23).
