Description
A 1970 Gretsch 7594 White Falcon hollowbody electric guitar, serial #103076, in white. Studio played by U2’s The Edge and Paul McCartney via Harris Hire in the UK. Used by The Edge in 2001 for How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb sessions and later restrung lefty for McCartney in 2002 for sessions at Duke Island Studios.
The 1970 Gretsch 7594 White Falcon has a white finish which is discolored from use and heavily weather checked. A 25.5” maple neck, six gold Grover tuners, a white string guide nut with zero fret, a 21 fret bound ebony fretboard with half thumb style inlays with dots from 15-21.
The hollow body is also white and made of laminated maple, with two f-holes, two High-Sensitive Filter Tron pickups, one three-way switch for pickup selection, another three-way switch as a tone filter, two individual pickup volumes, one master volume, a Space Control bridge for string spacing adjustment, a tuning fork bridge, a functioning two-piece mute system, and a Gretsch-branded Bigsby vibrato. All hardware is gold, and the guitar is bound in gold sparkle.
Includes hardshell case with Harris Hire stickers on the front.
