Description
A 2005 Gretsch G6118T Anniversary hollowbody electric guitar, serial #JT05021470, in Smoke Green Two-Tone finish. Owned and stage-played by Lou Reed, solo artist and member of The Velvet Underground. This guitar was also included as part of the Warhol Live exhibition from 2008-2009 at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, PA.
Made in Japan in 2005, this Gretsch G6118T Anniversary features a two-tone Smoke Green finish, six chrome Gretsch-branded tuners, a 24 3/4” scale length maple neck with a 22 fret ebony fretboard with pearloid “thumb” marker inlays. The body has a maple top, back, and sides, chrome hardware, two Filter-Tron pickups with a three-way toggle switch, a three-position tone filter switch, two individual pickup volumes, and a master volume control located on the cutaway. Contrasting green back-painted pickguard, a Space Control bridge, and Gretsch-branded Bigsby B6 vibrato.
Includes original Gretsch-branded TKL hardshell case, COA, and photos of Reed using the guitar onstage.
