Description
A c.1960s Framus Mandolin in sunburst finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist.
In addition to archtop guitars, Framus also made basses, electric guitars, and even mandolins like this one. Bears resemblance to the 6/47G Graciella, 6/47 Texan, and 6/48 Nevada models, but the headstock has been broken and crudely replaced with a much larger batwing shape.
Eight strings in pairs, eight tuners, spruce top, maple back and sides, alternating white and black laminate surrounded by white and black multiply binding, rosewood bridge, trapeze tailpiece.
Includes gig bag.
