Description
Elvis Presley Stage Worn Scarf Worn at Fort Worth, Texas on June 15, 1974 W/Ticket Stub, Photos, Certificate of Authenticity - This blue "curved corner signature" scarf was worn by Elvis Presley as he performed his afternoon show at the Tarrant County Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas on June 15, 1974. Elvis Presley's practice of giving away scarves started in September, 1970 in Phoenix, Arizona. It is said that at that show, Presley gave his scarf to a young fan in the front row, and her elated reaction led to Presley continuing the practice. Tossing scarves to fans in the audience during his live performances in the 1970s became an Elvis trademark. This powder blue scarf comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Elvis scarf expert, Michael Kurosky, who has sold more scarves in Graceland's history than anyone. The scarf appears to exhibit sweat marks and makeup. The lot also includes a ticket stub from the concert, and six original Polaroid photos.
