Lot includes three woodblock prints ca. 1850s; Nishiki-e, ink, and color on paper portraying kabuki actors from the Edo period: one by Utagawa Kunisada (1786-1865); another by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1860); together with one other.

Property from a Private Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles Collection.

Condition
All framed, one mated and the other two laid to decorative papers. 19 3/4 x 15 1/2 in. (50 x 39 1/2 cm.) Considerable toning, staining, wear, and loss to each especially at corners and margins. Not observed out of frames.
