Condition/Comments: This lot of 4 different pinbacks from Van Nostrand's Bunker Hill Brewery all feature the company tagline OH BE JOLLY. PB is the abbreviation for PRIZE BEAUTY or PRIZE BREW. Subject matter differs on all but the illustrations on the bulldog and colonial child are standouts! Condition on the 3 smaller pins is excellent while the larger pin exhibits staining and cracks in the celluloid and it is missing the paper back insert. The large pin measures 1-3/4 inches in diameter, the smaller ones 1-1/4. Please refer to photos for additional design and condition details. Manufactured by Whitehead and Hoag. Patent date of 1896.
