Harold ?Hal? Poth was born in St. Louis in 1924 and graduated from Washington University?s School of Fine Arts with a degree in design in 1947. He worked professionally as a commercial artist and art director for H. George Bloch and Mel Roman Advertising in St. Louis before starting his own company, Visual Communications, in the 1960s. He passed away Feb. 24, 2017.
