Description
Offered here for your consideration is a copper lot with brass concho belt. In this group there are three concho belts, (one brass and two copper), along with more copper items including a copper butterfly necklace and matching pin, and a bracelet. The brass belt has 9 conchos and a buckle. These brass conchos feature a repousse center, scalloped edges, and nice hand stamped designs. A buckle with great hand stamped designs and scalloped edges, plus a black leather belt finish off this fun piece. Both of the copper concho belts are fashioned with oval shaped conchos and lovely hand stamped designs. These conchos are connected by attractive looking links. The links on one belt feature a central embellishment, and the links on the other have a simple finish. The pendant is highlighted with a splendid butterfly shape with a turquoise cabochon resting in a smooth copper bezel, and hand stamped designs. This pendant hangs on a copper double link chain. A matching butterfly shaped pin is the next item. The last item is a Bell Tradign Post copper bracelet with great hand stamped designs. This great collection of copper and brass concho belts and other jewelry would be a great addition to your collection.
MAKER: The bracelet is hallmarked COPPER BELL (stamped). Bell Trading Post (Manufacturer). Operations began in 1932. The company was owned and operated by Jack Michaelson (d. 1957) of Albuquerque. Post WWII, the company's focus turned to tourist items. The company merged with Sunbell in 1969. The pendant is hallmarked SOLID COPPER within an oval (stamped).
APPROX AGE: Vintage (meaning somewhere between the 1930s to 1970s).
SIZE: One copper belt measures 32 inches in length with conchos measuring 1 3/8 inches tall x 1 3/4 inches wide. The other copper belt measures 39 inches in length with conchos measuring 1 inch tall x 1 1/4 inches wide. The brass belt measures 34 inches in length with conchos measuring 2 1/4 inch tall x 2 3/4 inches wide and a buckle 2 1/2 inches tall x 3 1/8 inches wide that fits a 3/4 inch belt. The pendant hangs on a 30 inches long chain and pendant itself measures 1 1/2 inches wide x 1 7/8 inches tall. The pin measures 1 1/2 inches tall x 1 3/4 inches wide. The bracelet measures 5 1/4 inches from end to end with a 1 1/4 inch gap (fits a 6 1/2 inch wrist) and is 3/8 wide. This lot weighs a total of 662.6
