the antique 18th century English silver argyle of oval form with beaded rims, with C scroll handle, the pull off domed lid surmounted by a detachable wooden knop finial. The interior with a conical hot water reserve with a pull off cap. Engraved to the side with a crest of a hand holding a schimitar with motto above Fortiter, hallmarked to the underside with maker's mark for Aaron Lestourgeon (first reg. alone 27th June 1771) the lid and internal cap unmarked.
