A RARE 19TH CENTURY SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SET WITH SCENES OF TEA AND COFFEE PRODUCTION
the Mid Victorian sterling silver set in the Rococo Revival style, all with scrolling foliate handles, scrolled pad feet issuing from satyr masks flanked by rocaille motifs, the reverse with foliate cartouches, comprising a coffee pot, with scenes of coffee production, hallmarked London, 1859, a milk jug dated 1861 depicting a milkmaid and cow, a sugar bowl dated 1861, depicting sugar production, all with maker's mark for Robert Harper, and a teapot of matching design but with Chinoiserie decoration and depicting the production of tea, the cover surmounted by a Chinese figure, hallmarked London, 1860 and maker's mark for Henry Holland,
