Description
An American Federal Upholstered Mahogany Wingback Chair, Circa 1810. The shaped crest and wings over rolled arms and elliptic shaped front seat rail, raised on ring-turned front legs and raked square back legs, terminating in brass casters. Covered in Williamsburg 'Pineapple' pattern upholstery.
Dimensions: Height 47 1/4in; width 37 3/4in; depth of seat 21 1/2in; depth over all 31in; seat height 18in.
Provenance: Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.
Condition
Structurally sound. The frame with general marks, nick, abrasions, and surface scratches. Converted to a pottery chair at one time (now plugged). The upholstery is in overall good condition.
