Pair of Rare Cornelius & Co. Bronze Candelabra
ca. 1827-1852, Philadelphia, the seven-light candelabra set with lotus-molded drip pans, the center three drip pans set into a molded "fountain", decorated with swan's heads, the outer drip pans on fluted arms decorated with bold, molded anthemia, the circular bases with mounts of leaves and flowers and molded with egg-and-dart trim, set with interior iron weights in the base, one weight marked "C & Co, 15" and stamped "Birmingham" on the underside interior of the bronze foot.

Notes: Lighting experts have long theorized that British lighting parts were used by American manufacturers. A theory that is proved by parts of the bases stamped "Birmingham".

Condition
Both are in very good, as found condition. No signs of damaged or missing elements. The surface naturally patinated from age. They are heavy.
