first quarter 19th century, in the manner of Samuel McIntire, Salem, Massachusetts, the back centered by an American eagle and flanked to each side with a snake-like serpent, the scrolled arm fronts with a carved cornucopia and terminating in a circular rosette, raised on carved eagle-form legs.

In very good, as found condition. No signs of damage, repairs, or replaced wood. Structurally sound. Minor scuffs and imperfections to the surface, consistent with age and use. Appears to retain its original finish and casters. Good, crisp detailing to the carving.
