Description
This is a very nice, double page map of the Lorraine region of northeast France and extending into parts of Luxenbourg, Belgium and Germany. The map is centered on Nancy, and includes other key cities of Metz, Verdun, Strasbourg (Strasburg), Luxenbourg (Luxenburg) and Saarbrueken (Sarburg). Extremely detailed overall, the map shows topography, rivers, forests, farmland, tiny villages, walled cities, etc. A lovely figurative cartouche in the lower left includes cherubs, figures and coat of arms.
