A Chinese Qiyang soapstone 'landscape' table screen, late Qing dynasty, 19th century, the rectangular panel well carved on one side with a scene portraying pavilions and courtyards surrounded by tempestuous waves, the pavilions build amongst large jagged boulders and with pine and willow trees, two cranes with outstretched wings depicted soaring near the lingzhi cloud wisps, supported on a wood stand detailed with open scrollwork, the plaque 50cm high x 38.5cm wide and overall height 79.5cm Provenance: Property from a deceased estate 晚清 祁陽石浮雕海屋添籌圖插屏拍品來源:英國私人收藏
