This is a fine association photograph measuring 10? x 8?, a reprint of an original U.S. Navy image showing Japanese Minister Mamoru Shigemitsu signing the Japanese Instrument of Surrender aboard the USS Missouri with the help of his aide, Toshikazu Kase, September 2, 1945, signed by four men whose roles were essential to the conclusion of World War II. Each signs in dark black or blue felt tip and adds his rank. Includes: Paul Tibbets, adding: ?Pilot-Enola Gay Hiroshima 6 Aug. 1945; James N. Price, Jr., adding: ?Pilot B29 Some Punkins Five Punkins Mission to Japan from Tinian?; Fred J. Olivi, adding: ?Lt. Col. USAF (Ret.)
