A Chinese Duan ink stone
Qing dynasty
With carved kuifeng motif and engraved four-character mark to box lid. Sold with associated hardwood box.
H: 3/4, W: 4, D: 5 7/8 in. (H: 1.91, W: 10.16, D: 14.92 cm. (stone))
Provenance: From the estate of Lim Kee Chin, who was Singapore's trade commissioner to Hong Kong in the 1960s. Mr. Lim acquired these items while he was in Hong Kong. Lot 20 to 27, Lot 173 to 179, and Lot 225 to 235 are from the same collector.
