Description
Attributed to Li Kan, Chinese, c. 1245 to 1320, ink and watercolor painting on silk depicting scene with a boy and a sage in a landscape. Inscribed and signed with Calligraphy, and a red seal, upper left. Framed. Li Kan was a Chinese painter during the Yuan Dynasty. Li was born in Jiqiu county. His style name was Zhong Bin and his sobriquet was Xi Zhai. Li lived for some time in a bamboo valley, which inspired many of his works. His ink bamboo executed refined strokes which were commented on their realism, followed the style of Wen Tong. Asian and Oriental Paintings on Silk, Wall Art, and Collectibles. One of a kind artwork.
