A vintage, probably European or English, solid brass figure. Could be used as a paperweight. The figure depicts a man holding a spear and shield and dressed in a costume with a hat. The figure is made in the manner of Fernando Botero Angulo, a Colombian figurative artist and sculptor, born in Medellín. His signature style, also known as Boterismo, depicts people and figures in large, exaggerated volume, which can represent political criticism or humor, depending on the piece. The figure is engraved with detailed patterns. Mounted on a rectangular shaped base with a recess. Unmarked. Circa: the second half of the 20th century.
