ink on paper, one partially printed, comprising a Special Order detailing Private W.R. Tilley for duty at Section No. 25, Round Hill Depot, Orange Co., dated April 5. 1864, signed by Capt. W.M. Swann, with cover; and two Substitute documents, first from Camp Harrison, August 25, 1862, certifying James Henry Willis as substitute for Charles D. Donaho in Capt. Mitchell's company of Partisan Rangers, the second from Camp of Instruction, near Raleigh, August 9, 1862, certifying Gabrall Fine as substitute for S.J. Swicegood of Davidson Co., signed by Major Peter Mallett and others. 1862-1864. 9" x 8" OA.
