Description
1952 Ford Courier sedan delivery. Ford Courier nameplate was used for the sedan delivery body style of the full-size Ford line. Sharing its body with the two-door Ford station wagon, the Courier was intended for use primarily as a commercial vehicle, replacing the rear seating area with storage; the side windows were replaced with painted steel panels and was a precursor of the modern-day cargo van. Marketed exclusively as a two-door vehicle, the Courier was initially designed with a side-hinged rear cargo access door (unique to the model line). The sedan delivery model lasted until 1960 when it was dropped and replaced with truck framed vehicles. This 1952 Courier appears rough but has solid metal throughout. It currently has a Ford V8 under the hood, decked out in Mustang valve covers. NEW INFORMATION: "THE ENGINE IS A MID 80's 5.0L 302ci MUSTANG. ENGINE IS CURRENTLY RUNNING AND IS COUPLED TO A 5-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION." Originally selling for $1,681, production numbers on the sedan delivery were low. So this Ford oddity is rare and highly collectible. It just needs the right Ford minded collector to appreciate it’s charm and give it the well deserved love in needs. Good bones. Good engine. If you’re that right Ford minded collector, your love could be well rewarded when this machine get's its well deserved breath of new life!
