CONDITION
Observed in frame, the painting is in fair age-appropriate condition. Overall craquelure, most notably against the light sky. A vertical scuff to the left edge. Three patches visible to the verso, largest measuring, 3.5 x 3.5 cm (1 3/8 x 1 3/8 in.). Inspection under UV light shows scattered retouching to around 5%. No retouching to the figure of the man or his features.
