A PAIR OF DUTCH DELFT BLUE AND WHITE GLAZED BEAKER VASES, MARKED, CIRCA 1800, each of flaring octagonal form and sides centering a reserve depicting a riverside manor and clusters of tall trees before distant rolling hills, enclosed by raised undulating branches issuing leafy foliage and floral stems, verso blue marks possibly for De Porceleyne BIJL factory. Height: 10 3/8" Width: 5 5/8" Depth: 5" Provenance: Private Collection, Pearland, Texas
Condition
One vase with kiln firing frits, small flaking spots, wear in some raised areas, and normal surface wear throughout. One vase has been broken and restored with areas of glaze flaking revealing white painted earthenware body, white painted kiln firing frits, and wear in some raised areas.
