Description
The rarest of coin-operated phonographs, the Multi-Phonetic is designed similar to a Regina counter top Hexaphone, where the device plays one of six cylinder records for a nickel, with no obvious way to select the record. In original as-found condition, with added small nickel horn. The engineering shows a traveling horn attached to the mandrel, with a very small and narrow opening for the horn to move. Possibly this machine operated with a set of headphones. Condition shows scuffing to the case, some loss to the front identification label, however the interior appears to be complete. Currently not operational. A very rare coin-operated phonograph and very rarely seen. With key. This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made. Condition: (Good). Dimensions: 18" x 14" x 14".
