Large Antique Tin 19th Century (circa 1870's) Store Display for Coffee/Tea, Scrolling Label This beautiful store display comes out of Deadwood South Dakota, Dimensions 19 3/4 inches x 17 x 16 inches. Beautiful hand painted flowers in a still life motif. Raised gold gilt figures with Lady Liberty holding a U.S. shield to the left face and warrior holding a spear and shield to the right face. The center of the display has detailed Chinese figure. There some is paint loss to the center but overall there is still much detail to this early store display. The center scroll rotates displaying gun powder, tea, earl grey , Japan and coffee. The top corner of the bin reads Norton Bros Patent date and Chicago.The Norton Bros. Company was in Chicago until 1880 then moved to Maywood, Ill.
